Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

Well, it wasn’t the perfect night we had on Monday evening but we still managed to come out with two units going 4-2 on the night! That takes us to 9-2 on the week. I’m ok with +7 units to start the week.

  NCAAB - Oregon Under 147 - Win

  NCAAB - Auburn -5.5 - Lost

  NCAAB - Boise State -15.5 - Win

  NCAAB - New Mexico +1 - Win

NHL - Winnipeg to win - Lost

  NHL - Detroit +1.5 - Win

Let's recap last night's selections. Starting in some college basketball last night, where the Oregon Ducks defeated the Indiana Hoosiers 73-62, hitting our under 147 selection on the game. Oregon ended Indiana’s 3 game winning streak they were on. Oregon improves to 22-8 overall on the season and is now 11-8 in conference play. After that, we saw Boise State blow out Air Force 80-57, easily hitting our Boise -15.5 selection on the game. Boise State improves to 22-8 on the season overall and is now in a tie for 3rd place in the Mountain West conference standings. They have a huge game on Friday night against 2nd place Colorado State. Next up, we saw New Mexico defeat Nevada 71-67, hitting our New Mexico +1 selection on the game. New Mexico was led by guard Donovan Dent who scored an impressive 33 points and chipped in 7 assists in the game. Dent has had an awesome season, averaging 20 points and almost 7 assists. In our final college basketball pick of the night, Auburn was upset by Texas A&M 83-72, blowing our Auburn -5.5 pick. Texas A&M needed the win badly, as they had lost 4 straight games but got a huge one back here. Texas A&M never trailed in the game, leading the entire time and extending their lead to as much as 12 points at times, and absolutely dominated Auburn on the glass, winning the rebound battle by 16.

In some NHL action last night, the Detroit Red Wings lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1, but covered our Detroit +1.5 selection on the game. Carolina forward Jordan Martinook scored a goal and assisted on the other goal. Carolina improves to 36-22-4 overall on the season. In our last selection of the night, the Winnipeg Jets fell to the New York Islanders 3-2. The Islanders jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period and held off the Jets attempt at a comeback. The Jets came close, cutting the lead to 3-2 with about 7 minutes remaining in the third period but couldn't get the goal needed to push it to overtime.

NCAAB: Maryland vs. Michigan - 6:30pm ET

Maryland to win

Analysis:

Michigan's home advantage has disappeared, leaving them vulnerable against athletic teams like Maryland, who boast superior speed, three-point shooting, and imposing big men that can exploit Michigan's pressing defense; Maryland's ability to win on the road, combined with coach Kevin Willard's tactical flexibility and the team's strong recent performance, positions them favorably for a victory, potentially securing a double-bye in the conference tournament, as they possess a distinct advantage over the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Xavier vs. Butler - 7:00pm ET

Money Line - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Xavier to win

Analysis:

Butler at home can be tricky, but their conference wins are against the weaker teams in the Big East. Xavier, on the other hand, has four solid conference road wins under their belt. So, while I anticipate a battle, I'm confident Xavier will pull through. They haven't disappointed us yet, consistently delivering the wins we expect. This game is crucial for their NCAA Tournament aspirations, and I believe they'll rise to the occasion and secure another…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Stonehill Skyhawks vs. Fairleigh Dickinson Knights - 7:00pm ET

FDU to win

Analysis:

FDU enters the NEC quarterfinal as the clear favorite, having convincingly defeated Stonehill in both regular-season matchups this year, continuing a trend from last season. The game's location in Hackensack provides a true home-court advantage for FDU, potentially boosting their performance. The numbers paint a clear picture: FDU isn't just relying on luck. They lead the NEC in key statistical categories, with Terrence Brown topping the scoring charts, Bismark Nsiah dominating in blocks, and Dylan Jones leading in 3-point shooting. This concentration of talent across multiple facets of the game suggests a fundamental difference in team quality, making FDU a strong contender to not only win but…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Le Moyne vs. Central Connecticut State - 7:00pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Over 144.5

Analysis:

Central Connecticut State University thrives on a fast-paced, high-octane style of play, and LeMoyne appears more than willing to engage in such contests, setting the stage for a potentially thrilling matchup. Their previous two encounters this season have been high-scoring affairs, with CCSU ultimately securing the wins, thanks in part to Devin Haid's reliable scoring output. However, LeMoyne is far from a pushover, particularly with sophomore guard AJ Dancler currently on a scoring tear, consistently lighting up the scoreboard. Furthermore, LeMoyne has demonstrated a consistent ability to outperform expectations regarding total points scored, a trend mirrored by CCSU in their recent games. While CCSU has undeniably had the upper hand in their previous meetings, LeMoyne's offensive prowess and the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Minnesota vs. Charlotte- 7:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Minnesota -8.5

Analysis:

The Minnesota Timberwolves are recapturing their form from last season, with Anthony Edwards (ANT) playing with confidence and dominance, Naz Reid providing consistent offensive firepower, and the entire offense finally clicking. Their recent performance is particularly strong: they are 7-4 against the spread (ATS) in back-to-back games, enter this matchup on the heels of consecutive blowout victories, and have already defeated Charlotte by a significant 21-point margin.  Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets are in complete disarray. They've lost seven consecutive games, with six of those losses being by 13 or more points. Humiliating losses have become their defining characteristic. Their home record is equally dismal, having lost eight straight at home, with six of those losses being by at least eight points. While the Hornets have shown some early-game competitiveness, they've struggled to maintain it, going 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games after initially covering in the first half.Given Minnesota's strong offensive performance, their success in back-to-back situations, and Charlotte's overall struggles and offensive limitations, the Timberwolves are…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Morehead State vs. Lindenwood - 9:30pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Under 133

Analysis:

Morehead State is facing significant challenges on the offensive end, struggling to score consistently and relying on a top scorer who hasn't been performing up to par lately. Their overall shooting percentages are quite poor, further hindering their ability to put points on the board. Statistically, their games tend to be low-scoring affairs, consistently going under the projected total. On the other side, Lindenwood, while showing some recent signs of improvement, also struggles with offensive efficiency, particularly with their three-point shooting. Considering both teams' offensive limitations and Morehead State's established pattern of low-scoring games, the odds strongly favor a game that…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Oklahoma City vs. Memphis - 9:30pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Oklahoma City -8

Analysis:

While the Oklahoma City Thunder may not be covering spreads as consistently as before, the current line against the struggling Memphis Grizzlies presents a compelling opportunity. The Thunder have been dominant, going 13-2 in their last 15 games, with 12 of those wins coming by at least 8 points. Their offense has been on fire, averaging a league-best 129 points per game over the last 10 games. In stark contrast, the Memphis Grizzlies' defense has completely collapsed, allowing a league-worst 124.9 points per game during the same period. The Grizzlies have failed to cover the spread in their last eight games and have allowed 125 or more points in seven of their last 10. While they may eventually address their defensive issues, it's unlikely to happen in this game, especially given their current lack of confidence. Oklahoma City has already demonstrated their dominance over Memphis, winning their…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Detroit Pistons vs. LA Clippers - 10:30pm ET

Money Line - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Detroit to win

Analysis:

While a straight bet on the Pistons covering might be tempting, we'll take a more conservative approach given the variables at play. The Pistons have a favorable matchup against a Clippers team playing on the second night of a back-to-back, a situation where the Clippers have struggled, going 3-9 straight up (SU) and posting a losing record against Eastern Conference teams this season. The Clippers' offense tends to falter against teams with solid defensive capabilities.  The Pistons, however, have been playing at an elite level recently, going 12-3 in their last 15 games and ranking among the league's best teams. Over that 15-game stretch, they boast a top-five offensive rating (4th) and a top-three defensive rating (3rd), resulting in a remarkable +12.1 net rating, the third-best in the NBA. Their recent ATS record is equally impressive, going 8-1 in their last 9, with substantial cover margins of: 17.5, 8.5, 24.5, 6, 3, 10.5, 12, and 35 points. They also have a solid 11-6-1 ATS record against Western Conference opponents.  Considering the Clippers' struggles on back-to-backs, their offensive vulnerability against strong defenses, and the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
