Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

How about a perfect 5-0 last night! Hopefully you tailed and made some money! Let's do it again tonight!

  NCAAB - UCLA Over 132.5 - Win

  NCAAB - SC State -9.5 - Win

  NCAAB - McNeese -9.5 - Win

  NCAAB - Bethune-Cook to win - Win

  NHL - Chicago +1.5 - Win

Lets recap that perfect night we had- starting with the Bethune Cookman Wildcats getting the win over the Grambling Tigers, hitting our ML pick on the Wildcats. Bethune Cookman led throughout the entire game in this one, at one point leading by as much as 17 points. Bethune Cookman guard Trey Thomas led all scorers with 27 points in the win. After that, we got a huge win with McNeese beating Stephen F Austin 95-64, easily covering our -9.5 selection. McNeese improves to 25-6 overall and is an impressive 19-1 in Southland conference play. Next up, South Carolina State got the win over Howard 79-69, covering our SC State -9.5 selection. Luckily for us, Howard fouled late and SC State hit 2 free throws with 3 seconds left to cover the spread. South Carolina State improves to 17-12 on the season overall. In our final college basketball selection of the night, UCLA got the win over Northwestern 73-69, hitting our over 132.5 pick on the game. UCLA gets a nice road win to help their seeding in the bracket, as they are currently projected as a 6 seed according to ESPN.

In our lone hockey selection of the night the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the LA Kings 5-1, easily hitting our Chicago +1.5 pick. The game was all tied up after the 1st period, but Chicago scored 4 unanswered goals to put this one away. Chicago has had a rough season, but improves to 19-35-7 with the win here.

Detroit +1.5

Analysis:

Betting on Detroit at home seems like a smart choice for the remainder of the season, as the Red Wings are in urgent need of every point while chasing a wild-card playoff spot and aiming to end one of the league's longest playoff droughts. I usually prefer Alex Lyon as the starting goalie, and he is expected to take the net on Tuesday, having recently demonstrated his reliability by allowing only two goals in three of his last four starts. Additionally, if we had wagered on Detroit with a +1.5 spread against the Hurricanes over the past ten games, we would have successfully cashed in on eight of those bets, highlighting their competitiveness in tight matchups. Currently, the Red Wings are on a positive trajectory with a 9-4 straight-up record and a solid… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Winnipeg Jets vs. New York Islanders - 7:30pm ET

Winnipeg to win

Analysis:

It often requires a compelling reason to back a road team, and in this matchup, we have a significant goaltending disparity that provides that rationale. Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck, a two-time Vezina Trophy winner who is poised to contend for a third, faces off against rookie Jakub Skarek of the Islanders. Skarek's limited experience is concerning; he allowed five goals in his only NHL start and has struggled in the AHL, boasting a career record of 48-81-1 with a 3.31 goals-against average. These statistics suggest that he is not regarded as a top prospect, raising doubts about his ability to perform effectively at the NHL level. With the Islanders playing the second game of a back-to-back and their usual backup, Semyon Varlamov, on long-term injured reserve, it seems likely that Skarek will be in…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: University of New Mexico vs. University of Nevada - 9:00pm ET

New Mexico +1

Analysis:

I anticipate that the Lobos might transition to favorites by the time the lines update so I would suggest locking this one in ASAP. This shift can be attributed to the current challenges facing Nevada, particularly their injury issues, which have hampered their performance throughout the season. Notably, the Wolf Pack have not been able to secure a victory against any Top 5 Mountain West Conference (MWC) teams this year, suffering defeats at home to strong competitors like Colorado State, Utah State, Boise State, and San Diego State. On the other hand, while New Mexico has faced setbacks in their last two road games against San Diego State and Boise State, I consider those opponents to be significantly stronger than Nevada. Furthermore, the Lobos have a motivating factor; a victory in this game would clinch a share of the MWC regular season title for them. Given these…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Boise State vs. Airforce - 9:00pm ET

Boise State -15.5

Analysis:

Big Line Alert! Boise State has positioned itself at the threshold of the NCAA tournament and I expect they’ll maintain their focus tonight without any risk of a letdown. The history between the Broncos and the Falcons in their last three encounters shows a dominant trend, with Boise winning by an average margin of 29 points per game, which speaks to their superiority in this matchup. Their momentum has been bolstered by significant victories against tough Mountain West Conference opponents like New Mexico and Utah State. Notably, sophomore forward Andrew Meadow has stepped up remarkably, scoring 22 points or more in two of the last three games, and four-year starter Tyson Degenhart is concluding his college career on a high note, averaging over 20 points per game in the last four outings. Conversely, the Falcons are struggling under head coach Joe Scott, having lost four of their last six games by margins of 21 points or more. This stark contrast in form and performance…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Auburn vs. Texas A&M - 9:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Auburn -5.5

Analysis:

Texas A&M's struggles to score in various aspects of the game are particularly concerning. The Aggies have shown a glaring inability to convert from beyond the arc, at the free-throw line, and in the paint, and they have failed to capitalize on the offensive rebounds they secure. With an average of just 72 points per game in the SEC, they are significantly outpaced by Auburn, which boasts an impressive 83 points per game. Although the Tigers may not have much on the line in terms of postseason implications, they have demonstrated a knack for dominating opponents on the road, having covered the spread in their last five games and posting a 7-3 record against the spread (ATS) in their last ten outings. In stark contrast, the Aggies have struggled to cover the spread themselves, going just 3-7 ATS in their last ten games and failing to cover in their last four contests by margins of 10.5, 10, 10, and 13.5 points. Their SEC record stands at 6-8-2, and they are rapidly losing momentum, particularly at home where they are only 3-5 ATS in conference play. Moreover, Auburn’s average scoring margin of +11.2 in the SEC compared to A&M's +1 further highlights the disparity between the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Indiana vs. Oregon - 9:00pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Under 147

Analysis:

The Hoosiers have consistently gone under the total in six of their last seven games, including three consecutive unders on the road, where they fell short by margins of 4.5, 10.5, and 12 points. On average, these games have gone under by 7.3 points, indicating a trend toward low-scoring affairs. Moreover, Indiana has a record of 6-3 in unders over their last nine road games, with the average total sitting at 147 points. Conversely, Oregon has also favored the under recently, with four straight games hitting that mark. The Ducks have found success in their last five games by limiting three of their opponents to under 70 points in regulation. Additionally, Oregon has maintained a solid under record of 13-7 following a win, which highlights their ability to conserve scoring when they are victorious. Both teams currently rank 11th and 12th in Big Ten scoring, suggesting that offensive production may be limited. Indiana’s strong defensive capabilities further support this scenario, as neither team…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
