We will do a quick recap today starting in the 2025 MLB Opening Day matchup. The Baltimore Orioles dominated the Toronto Blue Jays with a 12-2 victory at Rogers Centre. The Orioles set a franchise record by hitting six home runs, including two each from Cedric Mullins and Adley Rutschman. Tyler O'Neill contributed a three-run homer in the third inning, marking his sixth consecutive Opening Day with a home run—a Major League Baseball record.  Orioles starter Zach Eflin pitched six innings, allowing two runs on two hits. On the Blue Jays' side, Andrés Giménez provided a two-run homer in the fourth inning, but the offense was otherwise subdued.  Needless to say, with the clinic that the Orioles put on behind the plate, our bet on the Blue Jays covering a +1.5 spread was unsuccessful, as the game concluded with a 10-run margin.

In our other MLB selection, the San Francisco Giants staged a dramatic ninth-inning comeback to defeat the Cincinnati Reds 6-4. Trailing 3-2 with two outs in the ninth, Patrick Bailey's RBI single tied the game, followed by Wilmer Flores' go-ahead three-run homer. Earlier, Heliot Ramos hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning. Despite a strong start from Reds' pitcher Hunter Greene, who struck out eight over five innings, and Jeimer Candelario's three RBIs, the Reds' bullpen faltered late. Unfortunately, our prediction of a Reds' outright victory did not materialize.

In last night’s NCAA Sweet 16 action, we went 2-1 on our picks with a strong finish to cap off a high-stakes slate. We started off on the right foot with Florida taking care of business against Maryland, dominating with a deep bench and rolling to an 87-71 win — comfortably covering our -6 spread. Things got a little dicey in the Arizona vs. Duke matchup. Despite Duke coming away with the win, their 100-93 final score wasn’t enough to cover our -9.5 spread, thanks in part to a 35-point performance from Arizona’s Caleb Love. But we bounced back in a big way with Arkansas, who pushed Texas Tech to the brink in an overtime thriller. The Hogs fell 85-83, but it was more than enough to cover our +5.5 spread and close the night with a win. Solid results overall as we cashed 2 out of 3 and head into the Elite Eight with momentum on our side.

Michigan State to win

Analysis:

I initially had the Spartans advancing to the Sweet 16 but anticipated their journey would end there against Iowa State, a team that ultimately fell to Ole Miss. However, I now feel more optimistic about Michigan State's chances of reaching the Elite Eight, especially if they can overcome Ole Miss's impressive run, which has been fueled by their remarkable accuracy, shooting nearly 50% from three-point range throughout the tournament. This poses an intriguing dynamic, as Michigan State is renowned for their defensive capabilities, having finished the season ranked first in the nation for three-point percentage defense. If Michigan upsets the top-seeded Auburn in the other half of the South Region on Friday, a potential…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Tennessee -4

Analysis:

For Tennessee fans, there may be a silver lining in the fact that the Vols lost both regular-season games to Kentucky as they prepare for their Sweet 16 matchup. In those encounters, Kentucky's notable 12-for-24 shooting from three-point range seems more like an anomaly; no other team achieved better than 45% against Tennessee this season, with only three teams surpassing 40%. This game will be held in Indianapolis, a location that has historically brought Kentucky misfortune in the NCAA Tournament. It's also interesting to note that under Coach Rick Barnes, Tennessee and Kentucky have met three times in a single season without either team managing to…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Michigan +9.5

Analysis:

Dusty May's inaugural season at Michigan is yielding impressive results, as the team has won and covered the spread in their last five games, highlighted by victories over Purdue, Maryland, and a Big Ten championship win against Wisconsin. Their success continued with two NCAA tournament wins over San Diego and Texas A&M, showcasing a transformation reminiscent of May's previous success at Florida Atlantic. Currently, Michigan boasts a field goal percentage of 47.1% while also holding opponents to just 40%, reflecting a strong defensive strategy coupled with efficient shot selection. This approach mirrors the disciplined play that characterized FAU during May’s tenure, illustrating how…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Purdue vs. Houston - 10:09pm ET

Houston -8

Analysis:

Matt Painter’s Purdue squad relies heavily on the exceptional long-range shooting skills of Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith, whose accuracy from beyond the arc is a key component of their strategy. However, both players struggle with quickness, which has led to them being neutralized in several games this season, raising concerns about their ability to get open shots against a strong Houston team that leads the nation in scoring defense, allowing only 58.4 points per game. This season, the Cougars, under Kelvin Sampson, present a formidable challenge not only with their defensive prowess but…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
