Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

Lets recap our two hockey picks from last night, where we went 1-1 on the night. Starting with the Buffalo Sabres defeating the Ottawa Senators 3-2, making our Senators ML pick a loss. The game was tied heading into the third period but unfortunately for us the Sabers scored the winning goal and the Senators were unable to answer. The Senators fall to 37-28-5 on the season but are still holding onto a wildcard spot in the eastern conference.

Next, we saw the Calgary Flame defeat the Seattle Kraken 4-3 in overtime, hitting our ML pick on the Flames. The Flames jumped out to the early 1-0 lead after scoring in the first period, but gave up 2 goals in the second period to be down 2-1 heading into the third period. The Flames scored 2 goals in about two minutes of gametime in the third period and to overtime we went. After about 4 minutes of overtime forward Nazem Kadri scored his second goal of the night to clinch the win for the Flames. Calgary improves to 34-25-11 on the season and have now won 4 games straight.

Today we have 3 bets lined up for you - some NIL action and an NHL game. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Over 144.5

Analysis:

Kent State has been on an impressive scoring streak since late January, achieving 72 points or more in 12 of their last 13 games, and tonight’s matchup against Loyola is likely to keep that fast pace alive. Loyola, coming off strong NIT victories against San Jose State and USF, appears eager to maintain an up-tempo game, with coach Drew Valentine willing to engage in a high-scoring shootout. The spotlight will be on standout players such as Jayden Dawson, who recently scored 35 points against USF, and Kent State’s Jalen Sullinger, who has also been an offensive force, netting 34 points in a win against Stanford. Despite multiple MAC teams attempting to slow Kent State's dynamic offense, containing Sullinger has proven to be a tall order, especially given that he has scored 29 points or more in three of his last six games. With both teams focused on their…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Vancouver Canucks vs. NY Islanders - 7:30pm ET

NY Islanders to win

Analysis:

This upcoming matchup is crucial for both teams as they compete for a wild-card spot in the playoffs. The Canucks have been in the New York City area since last Friday on a lengthy road trip, which may cause distractions and make them eager to move to their next destination. Kevin Lankinen is likely to start as goaltender, but he has struggled recently, losing five of his last seven games, which raises concerns about his confidence and ability to handle pressure. The Canucks are also facing significant challenges with key forwards Filip Chytil (26 points), Nils Hoglander (21 points), and the highly productive Elias Pettersson (45 points) all sidelined, weakening their offensive strength. In contrast, New York's Ilya Sorokin has been a standout in March with a 6-2-2 record and a 2.58 goals-against average, making him a crucial asset for the Islanders. Additionally, New York has shown consistency at…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: UAB Blazers vs. UC Irvine Anteaters - 9:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

UAB +4.5

Analysis:

As long as UAB has had a chance to recuperate after their intense matchup against Santa Clara on Sunday, they stand a good chance of achieving another NIT road victory. A key asset for the Blazers is 6-9 power forward Yaxel Lendeborg, who has been a double-double machine with averages of 17.8 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, ranking him third nationally in rebounding. He enters the game against Irvine with a five-game streak of double-doubles, which significantly enhances UAB’s prospects. Lendeborg received solid support from 6-8 forward Christian Coleman, who scored 21 points in the previous game, contributing to UAB’s impressive offensive output of 82.5 points per game—indicative of their greater scoring depth compared to what UC Irvine faced in the Big West. Furthermore, the NIT has already tested the resilience of Andy Kennedy's team, requiring extensive travel that can be taxing, but their recent win at Santa Clara allows them to remain within the…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
