Now, let's recap our selections for the first day of March Madness starting with Creighton putting the smackdown on Louisville. We were a little nervous heading into this game, with Louisville basically having a home game playing just an hour away from their campus. There certainly was a lot of red in the building, but it didn't bother Creighton as they won 89-75 and hit our Creighton +3 selection.

Next up, we saw High Point give Purdue a pretty good game. Unfortunately at the end Purdue pulled away, winning 75-63 and making our High Point +7.5 selection a loss. Purdue just dominated the paint in this one, outscoring High Point by 16 points down low. High Point did hit 10 threes to stay in the game but it wasn't enough in the end to pull off the upset.

Speaking of upsets, we got the upset of the day as McNeese defeated Clemson 69-67, hitting our McNeese +7.5 selection. McNeese absolutely dominated in the first half of this one, holding Clemson to just 13 points in the first 20 minutes. Clemson got rolling in the 2nd half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the disaster of the 1st half. Clemson was picked to make a decent run in a lot of brackets so that one hurt.

Next we saw BYU defeat VCU 80-71 and hit our ML selection on BYU. This game was pretty close in the first half until BYU closed the half on a 12-1 run to extend their one point lead to an 11 point lead at the break. In the second half VCU was never able to close the gap enough to really threaten BYU.

In the Georgia vs Gonzaga game, Gonzaga laid the smackdown, easily winning this one 89-68 and hitting our over 151 selection on the game. Gonzaga started the game off 13-0 before Georgia could even score their first point and the Zags extended that lead to 27-3 at one point. Gonzaga is a net rankings darling and they showed why in this game. Gonzaga vs Houston in the second round will be an interesting matchup.

After that we saw another upset as Drake defeated Missouri 67-57, barely missing on our over 133 pick on the game. Drake was able to really slow Missouri down in this one, holding Missouri to just 23 points in the first half. Drake standout guard Bennett Stirtz put up 21 points in the win, pretty crazy for a guy who was playing division 2 basketball last season.

In our final selection of the night, Michigan survived against UC San Diego 68-65, hitting our ML selection on Michigan. UC San Diego was getting a ton of upset buzz in this one, and showed why in the second half as they outscored Michigan by 9 points in the half. But that just wasn't enough to overcome the strong first half Michigan had. UC San Diego missed their attempt at the buzzer to tie the game.

NCAAB: Robert Morris vs. Alabama - 12:40pm ET

RMU +22

Analysis:

I mean come on. A line like this in the tourney is Ludacris. Robert Morris has a promising 6-9 player from Spain who could play a crucial role in keeping the game competitive. If Alabama enters this matchup complacently, they might find themselves in a challenging situation. Should Alabama struggle to find their rhythm from beyond the arc early on, the game might tighten far more than the point spread suggests. Historically, the Crimson Tide have seldom dominated in significant tournament games, often keeping matches closer than anticipated. Their defensive strategy has been lackluster, providing Robert Morris with an opportunity to manage possessions effectively and control the pace of the game. While Alabama typically aims to enforce their high-tempo style of play, the question…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Grand Canyon U. vs. Maryland - 4:35pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Over 150

Analysis:

The Maryland Terrapins are displaying a potent offense, averaging nearly 82 points per game with five players scoring in double digits, led by standout freshman Derik Queen, who averages 16.3 points and had an impressive 31-point outing in a tough Big Ten semifinal against Michigan. Their recent performances in Indianapolis demonstrate their offensive prowess, posting an average of 84 points per game, including a decisive 88-65 victory over Illinois. In contrast, Grand Canyon University, coached by Bryce Drew, mirrors its successful previous season and has enhanced its scoring potential with the return of senior wing Tyon Grant-Foster, who contributes 14.5 points per game. This reintroduction has…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: New Mexico vs. Marquette - 7:25pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

New Mexico +4

Analysis:

With Rick Pitino's younger counterpart at the helm, this team has demonstrated effective coaching and improved cohesion as the season nears its conclusion. They appear unflinching in the face of Marquette, a squad that peaked back in January and has struggled recently, evidenced by their 5-7 record in the last 12 games and a concerning 3-9 against the spread during that stretch, suggesting that Vegas might be overestimating their capabilities based on earlier performances. A key issue for Marquette is their lack of size and rebounding strength, which could be a significant disadvantage against a more physical opponent like the Lobos. New Mexico features a solid turnover margin that could…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Akron vs. Arizona - 7:35pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Akron +14.5

Analysis:

It wouldn't be surprising to see Arizona face challenges in this matchup, especially considering their inconsistent three-point shooting and recent struggles, including losing three of their last four games on the road. Their record of 4-7 against the spread (ATS) over the last 11 games raises concerns about their ability to maintain form when faced with pressure. On the other hand, Akron is known for ramping up their defensive intensity in road or neutral-site games, which could pose problems for Arizona. The Zips play at a top-20 pace, meaning they take a lot of shots, and I find it hard to believe that this game will be a blowout given their scoring ability. Moreover, Akron excels in securing offensive rebounds, giving them extra possessions and scoring opportunities that could keep them competitive. While their ATS record stands at a modest .500, they tend to perform better with significant…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Vanderbilt vs. St. Mary’s - 3:15pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

St. Mary’s -4.5

Analysis:

The Gaels hold a notable advantage on the defensive end and are expected to have a commanding presence on the offensive boards in this matchup. While Mark Byington achieved commendable progress in his first season coaching Vanderbilt, the Commodores rank among the lowest teams in the tournament field. Their defensive struggles are particularly alarming, as they sit at the bottom of the SEC in efficiency, effective field goal percentage, and three-point shooting percentage. This defensive deficiency opens the door for St. Mary's to limit Vanderbilt's transition opportunities, forcing them into a… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
