Sports Corner Daily’s Results and Yesterday’s Recap

A bit of a lighter day today than what you may be used to. We are gearing up for the Madness. We continued our Hott streak on college hoops hitting both of our plays yesterday.

Let's get into last night's full recap, starting in the NHL where the Seattle Kraken put it on the Chicago Blackhawks, winning 6-2 and making our Chicago +1.5 selection a loss. We were in a good spot after the first period, with Chicago taking a 2-1 lead into the second, but that is where things went wrong for us, with Seattle scoring 4 unanswered goals to take a 5-2 lead. Seattle forward Shane Wright scored 2 goals in the win.

Moving over to our lone NBA pick last night, the Cleveland Cavaliers took a rare loss, losing to the LA Clippers 132-119, making our Cavs -4 pick a loss. Just like our hockey pick, this one started out looking good for us in the first quarter, with Cleveland leading by 8 points and scoring an impressive 45 points. Unfortunately for us, that was the only quarter they outscored the Clippers in as they were unable to match that first quarter’s output the rest of the game. Kawhi Leonard put up 33 points for the Clippers in the win.

In our college basketball selections last night, we nailed both picks to start off March Madness 2-0. Alabama State got March Madness started off right, as they got a layup to fall just before time expired to get the win over St. Francis 70-68 and hit our under 139.5 selection on the game. St. Francis led for the majority of the game but was unable to really pull away from Alabama St. With the game tied at 68 a piece, Alabama St threw a pass the length of the court which somehow fell into the hands of guard Amarr Knox who put the layup up and in to get the win. In the next game, North Carolina put the smack down on San Diego State, winning 95-68 and easily covering our UNC -4.5 pick on the game. This game got out of hand early, with UNC taking a 24 point lead to halftime and SDSU was never able to get themselves back in the game. UNC guard RJ Davis put up 26 points in the win, as UNC moves on and will play Ole Miss on Thursday.

Looking forward to tonight’s action, we have 3 picks for you. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Detroit -5.5

Analysis:

The Miami Heat have become significantly weakened following the departure of Jimmy Butler, making them a team to fade with caution. They've struggled noticeably, failing to cover the spread in their last six games, with each loss coming by at least four points and an alarming average margin of failure of 14 points. Additionally, they have experienced a troubling stretch, losing four consecutive games by 12 points or more. Offensively, the Heat are averaging just 102.1 points per game over their last ten outings, the lowest in the NBA, reflecting a concerning lack of offensive production. In contrast, the Detroit Pistons have emerged as a formidable presence, ranking among the top 10 defensive teams in recent games. Furthermore, the Pistons have excelled on the road, covering the spread in seven of their last nine games by an average of 11 points, with each cover coming by… [Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

Over 151.5

Analysis:

We're anticipating a high-paced game between two offensively strong teams, as they average a combined total of 157 points per game, with significant scoring contributions from players like veteran forward Zach Freemantle (17.3 ppg) and Indiana State transfer guard Ryan Conwell (16.8 ppg) for one team, while Texas features standout freshman guard Tre Johnson, who averages 19.8 points per game and is part of a roster with four players scoring in double digits. Both teams are trending towards high-scoring outcomes, with the Musketeers achieving a 10-3 record in their last 13 games hitting the over, and the Longhorns boasting a remarkable 12-1 record during the same stretch. Additionally, Texas has…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Sacramento - 10:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Cleveland -5

Analysis:

The Cleveland Cavaliers are regaining their offensive rhythm as they prepare to face the Los Angeles Clippers. Their performance in back-to-back games has shown resilience, with a respectable 7-6 record against the spread (ATS), and they have excelled on the road with a notable 22-10 ATS record. Furthermore, they’ve demonstrated their strength against Western Conference opponents, boasting an impressive 15-5-1 ATS record. In stark contrast, the Sacramento Kings are struggling mightily in the absence of Domantas Sabonis, whose injuries have effectively derailed their competitive potential. Without him, the Kings have been a complete mess, suffering from a significant decline in performance, particularly evident in their recent games where they allowed points in the range of 122 to 133. This trend suggests a vulnerability that the Cavaliers are likely to exploit, even if they have to rely on their bench players. Sabonis's absence is…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
