Sports Corner Daily had another successful night, going 4-2 overall in our selections. Lets get into the recap, starting in some college basketball where Wofford defeated Western Carolina 90-67, hitting our over 145.5 pick on the game. Wofford has had an up and down season but improve to 10-7 in conference play with the win. Next up Indiana defeated Penn State 83-78, hitting our ML pick on Indiana. Indiana has turned it around since a rough January stretch and has now won 3 of their last 4 games. They are back on the bubble for a March Madness bid, but need to win their last 3 regular season matchups to continue to help their chances. After that, Arkansas defeated Texas 86-81 in overtime, making our Arkansas -3.5 selection a winner. Arkansas, another team sitting on the bubble, gets a nice win and improves to 17-11 overall on the season. Texas guard Tre Johnson tried his best to fuel Texas to the win, scoring 39 points and hitting 7 threes but Texas came up just short. Finally, in our last college basketball pick of the night, #17 Kentucky got a nice road victory, beating Oklahoma 83-82, but coming up short on our Kentucky -3 pick. Kentucky guard Otega Oweh was unstoppable in the second half, scoring 28 points in the game with 23 of those points coming in the second half. Oweh scored the final basket with about 6 seconds remaining on the clock to give Kentucky the lead and win. Kentucky improves to 19-9 on the season and is in line for a three seed in the tournament.

In our lone NBA pick of the night, the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 110-105, but came up short of our Knicks -10 pick. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson led all scorers in the game with 34 points and added 7 assists. The Knicks are sitting in 3rd place in the eastern conference standings, with an impressive record of 38-20 overall. Philly on the other hand, needs to get some wins to have a chance of sneaking in the play-in games. They currently sit at 20-38 overall.

In our final pick of the night, the Colorado Avalanche defeated the New Jersey Devils 5-1, hitting our ML selection on Colorado. Colorado was led by forward Nate MacKinnon who scored 2 goals and added an assist in the win. Both teams have had good seasons so far, as Colorado improves to 34-24-2 on the season overall.

Looking forward to tonight’s action, we have another 6 picks for you. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Over 156

Analysis:

UMBC is currently playing at the 25th fastest pace in the NCAA, setting the stage for a potentially high-scoring matchup. In their previous encounter, the game total was 179 points, showcasing both teams' offensive strengths. Recent home games for the Retrievers saw scores of 186, 158, 150, and 178, reinforcing their trend of high-scoring outputs. They have gone over in 14 of their last 18 games, with a record of 10-4 in conference play, and an impressive 11-1 when they have four or more days of rest. UMBC ranks as the second-highest scoring team in their conference while also possessing the worst defense, frequently leading to shootout scenarios. Conversely, Albany has struggled to hit the over, achieving it in only 2 of their last 7 games, but these overs occurred when they faced fast-paced teams…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Golden State Warriors vs. Orlando Magic - 7:00pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Under 211.5

Analysis:

Since landing Jimmy Butler, the Warriors boast an impressive 6-1 record both straight up and against the spread, driven by his impact on both ends of the court. Notably, the team has improved defensively, allowing just 100 points per game in their last four contests and slightly over 104 points per game since Butler joined, which is key as they prepare to face the struggling Orlando Magic. Following a humiliating 122-82 defeat to the Cavaliers, Orlando is dangerous as a "wounded animal" seeking redemption; however, their recent shooting struggles, highlighted by a poor 5 for 28 three-point effort, reflect serious offensive limitations, with only Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner scoring in double digits. Additionally, Orlando’s ongoing trend of unders—recording six consecutive games under and…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Hampton University vs. Drexel University - 7:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Hampton +5

Analysis:

Hampton has undergone a significant turnaround this season, transforming into a strong defensive team while enhancing its guard play, evident in their impressive five-game winning streak, each victory achieved by just five points. Recently, they showcased their defensive capabilities by limiting Drexel to only 58 points in a home matchup, allowing just 60 points per game during their winning streak. Additionally, they have covered the spread in all five games by notable margins of 23.5, 19, 20.5, 6.5, and 15.5 points. While both Hampton and Drexel possess nearly identical point differentials in conference play, Drexel's struggles at home, with a 4-3 record and an average of 68 points per game, may hinder their ability to compete effectively against Hampton’s staunch defense. In their first meeting, the Pirates physically outmatched the Dragons, suggesting a favorable matchup for them in this rematch. Although Hampton has found success at home, laying a significant number of…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: NC A&T University vs. Northeastern University - 7:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

NC A&T +11.5

Analysis:

It’s entirely plausible that the Aggies could pull off a victory in this matchup. Jahnathan Lamothe is currently the standout player in the conference, capable of dominating both scoring and rebounding, which could be pivotal for A&T's success. The Aggies have shown improvement lately, winning 3 of their last 4 games and covering the spread in three consecutive outings after a rough start to their CAA season. In contrast, the Huskies find themselves in a peculiar position, facing their largest spread of the season at an unusual time. Their home record in CAA play stands at a mediocre 4-4, and they are just 2-6 against the spread, raising concerns about their ability to perform as favorites. Notably, when favored by more than 5 points, they have yet to cover the spread, going 0-7 in such situations. Additionally, Northeastern ranks 10th in the CAA in both scoring margin and total points scored, yet they are…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Edmonton Oilers vs. Florida Panthers - 7:00pm ET

Money Line - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Edmonton to win

Analysis:

The Edmonton Oilers have struggled significantly since returning from the break, having been outscored 17-7 and outshot 101-67 over the course of three games, leading to a season-high losing streak of four games. This downturn in performance raises questions about their ability to bounce back; however, it's worth noting that last season they managed to go 2-0 following a similar four-game losing streak, suggesting they have the potential to recover. The historical context is also crucial, as the Florida Panthers defeated Edmonton in the Stanley Cup Finals last year and continued this trend with a narrow 6-5 victory in Edmonton last December, highlighting a psychological edge the Panthers may hold. Recently, Florida showcased their defensive capabilities by allowing only 19 shots on goal in their victory over the Predators on Tuesday, demonstrating their ability to stifle opposing offenses. This introduces an interesting betting trend: historically, it's advisable to fade teams that allow fewer than 20 shots when they face a winning opponent, particularly if that opponent has one…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Pepperdine Waves vs. Portland Pilots - 10:00pm ET

Against the Spread - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Portland -2.5

Analysis:

Earlier this month, the Pilots secured a decisive 20-point victory over Pepperdine in Malibu, California. While this upcoming matchup is expected to be more competitive, I believe the home team will still manage to cover the short spread. Portland has been on an upward trajectory, boasting a 4-2 record straight up in February, including two significant victories against higher-ranked teams in the WCC, Oregon State and Loyola Marymount. In contrast, the Waves have struggled, losing six of their last seven games and posting a dismal 2-10 record on the road, with their four conference wins coming against the two weakest teams in the WCC. A key player for Portland is freshman Austin Rapp, who stands at 6-10 and is…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
