Lets recap Sports Corner Daily’s selections from last night, starting in the NBA where the Washington Wizards got an unexpected win over the Brooklyn Nets 107-99, failing to secure our ML pick on Brooklyn. Washington started the game off hot, fueled by a good game from guard Jordan Poole who scored 26 points, but trailed entering the 4th quarter by 2 points. In the 4th quarter Washington held Brooklyn to just 12 points to secure the win. After that, we saw the Denver Nuggets defeat the Indiana Pacers 125-116, with Indiana failing to stay inside our +5.5 selection on them in the game. Nuggets center Nikola Jokic fell just one rebound short of a triple double in this game, finishing with 18 points, 19 assists, and 9 rebounds. Denver led by 21 points heading into the fourth quarter in this one, and did enough to prevent the Pacers from mounting any comeback. Denver improves to 38-20 on the season.

In some college basketball action, Florida A&M was defeated by Alabama A&M 77-66, blowing our Florida A&M +1 selection on the game. Florida A&M guard Sterling Young scored 31 points in the loss, as Florida A&M falls to 9-6 in conference play. Next, we saw SE Louisiana lose to Northwestern State, killing our SE Louisiana ML pick. SE Louisiana falls to 4th in the Southland conference standings with the loss and will need to win the conference tournament to get into March Madness. After that, we saw Norfolk State continue its impressive season with a win over Morgan State 69-60, falling short of our over 157 pick on the game. It was a low scoring game for Norfolk, who had been scoring in the high 70’s and low 80’s in most of their recent games, but was still able to get the win and improve to 10-1 in conference play. Next up, Coppin State defeated Howard 72-61, once again falling short of our over 150.5 selection. Coppin State has had a bad season, but got their 5th win of the season here, now sitting at 5-21 overall. In our last college basketball game of the night, #15 Michigan got the win over Nebraska 49-46, hitting our ML pick on Michigan. It was the lowest scoring win for Michigan in 17 years. Michigan improves to 21-6 on the season.

In some NHL action last night, the Winnipeg Jets beat the San Jose Sharks 2-1 in overtime, hitting our San Jose +2.5 selection on the game. Winnipeg improves to 41-14-3 on the season and sit in first place in the Western Conference.

Looking forward to tonight’s action, we have another 4 picks for you. Be sure to check out The Full Details and What the Public Thinks on these bets before jumping in. Let’s win some money!

Columbus +1.5

Analysis:

The Columbus Blue Jackets have excelled at home this season with a league-best record of 21 wins and just 7 losses against the spread (ATS), signaling their competitiveness in familiar surroundings. While maintaining this success for the remainder of the season may be challenging, they are likely to stay formidable in home games. A significant contributor to this success is star defenseman Zach Werenski, who has impressively recorded at least one point in 22 consecutive home games, tying him for the third-longest streak among NHL defensemen, alongside Paul Coffey, and trailing Bobby Orr’s all-time record by just three games. Additionally, the Blue Jackets have shown resilience…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NCAAB: Appalachian St. University vs. Georgia Southern - 7:00pm ET

Over/Under - 👈  Click to get more info on tonights match up

Under 138.5

Analysis:

App State is utilizing a slow and deliberate style of play, taking the second-fewest shots in the conference, which significantly slows the game down and forces opposing teams to adjust to their pace when playing on the road. This strategy has led to seven consecutive unders in their road games, with an average combined score of nearly 136 points, which falls short by about 16.6 points per game. Notably, App State has only recorded three overs in road games this season, all occurring in non-conference matchups. While a previous game between these teams resulted in an over at App State, I am doubtful that history will repeat itself here. Defensively, the team has excelled, limiting Sun Belt opponents to a shooting percentage of just 39%, while GSO currently ranks tenth in the conference for field goal percentage. They may have had four consecutive overs, but it's crucial to note that App State has effectively restricted three-point shooting, allowing only 30% from beyond the arc in conference play. Given their ability to…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NBA: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Houston Rockets - 8:00pm ET

Houston to win

Analysis:

The Houston Rockets are poised to welcome back starting point guard Fred VanVleet from injury for the first time since February 1, which could significantly boost their performance and leadership on the court. Additionally, Jabari Smith has just made his return after a lengthy absence, adding further depth to the lineup. Center Alperen Sengun has been on a roll, achieving four consecutive double-doubles, showcasing his growing impact on both ends of the floor and solidifying his role as a key player for the Rockets. On the other hand, the Milwaukee Bucks are finding their rhythm again and are healthy, despite being without the suspended Bobby Portis. However, they struggle on the road, currently sitting three games under .500 in away games, which raises questions about their consistency outside of Milwaukee. Furthermore, this matchup presents a challenging scenario for the Bucks as they…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...

NHL: Detroit Red Wings vs. Minnesota Wild - 8:00pm ET

Minnesota to win

Analysis:

The Minnesota Wild recently secured a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory against the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, but I often approach backing a team to sweep both games in a home-and-home series with caution. However, the circumstances favor Minnesota in this matchup. While the Wild have had a break since their last game, Detroit faced off again on Sunday and will be missing two key players in their lineup: Andrew Copp, who has contributed 23 points, and Michael Rasmussen, with 15 points. Their absence will significantly impact Detroit's offensive capabilities, leaving them vulnerable. Additionally, Minnesota is set to start their No. 1 goaltender, Filip Gustavsson, who did not play in the initial…[Click here to get the Full write up on this bet]...
