Sports Corner Daily’s 👀Results from Wednesday 12/11/2024

Winners - 3

Losers - 0

Sports Corner Daily continues the hot streak with a perfect 3-0 last night. That is now 11 in a row on straight ML selections. In the NBA last night the Rockets improved to 17-8 and defeated the Golden State Warriors. Alperen Sengun led all scores with 26 in the win. It was a close game but the Rockets snuck away with the win 91-90 after hitting some huge free throws with 3 seconds left to take the lead and win the game.

On the ice last night The New York Rangers took down the Buffalo Sabres 3 to 2. The Rangers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first period and then were able to capitalize on an empty net goal in the third to secure the victory. The Rangers improve to 15-12-1 on the season.

In some college basketball last night Delaware St cruised to a 71-59 win over NJIT. Both teams have struggled to start the season but Delaware St was the better team last night. Robert Smith scored 27 points in the win and the Hornets improve to 5-6 on the season.

Overall it was a great night of games for Sports Corner Daily and we will look to stay hot tonight with some more picks for you!

Tonight's LIVE Bets:

NCAAB: Cyclones @ Hawkeyes

Iowa +6.5

Analysis:

The Cy-Hawk Series is the highlight of a weak Thursday slate. Iowa has dominated the series at home, winning the last four by an average of 18.8 points. However, a 6.5-point spread for Iowa State seems high, especially since it's their first true road game in a tough environment. Iowa’s defense has been effective, keeping most opponents under 50% shooting. The model predicts Iowa State will win by 4 points. The public is also on The Hawkeyes to win with 55% on Iowa to cover.

NHL: Chicago Blackhawks @ New York Islanders

N.Y. Islanders -1

Note* If the line moves beyond -1 the Money Line is the safest play here

Analysis:

It's hard to justify betting on the disappointing Islanders at around -190 on the money line. If the line moves beyond the -1 your safest play here is to take the ML. The Blackhawks are struggling with injuries on defense and are without their top goalie, Petr Mrazek. Backup Arvid Soderblom has performed well, but there are doubts about his consistency. Meanwhile, Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin has a solid 2.29 GAA and .919 save percentage in his last six games. The Islanders have scored three or more goals 17 times this season, winning 11 of those games. If they score at least three goals again, a push seems likely, especially since Chicago has scored two or fewer in five of their last six games. Although the public loves the N.Y. to win outright at an astounding 96% coming in favor of a victory for the Islanders, A mere 26% of the public have them covering the puck line. As I said this may be a push but I couldn't fathom taking the ML at a -190.

NFL: L.A. Rams @ San Francisco

L.A. Rams +3

Analysis:

The Rams are still on a high after their shootout win against the Bills, and I’m optimistic about their chances in the upcoming game. They previously defeated San Francisco earlier this season without Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, but now both are back, and Matthew Stafford is leading a strong offense. While the Rams' defense struggled against the Bills, San Francisco is hampered by significant injuries that impact their performance. I currently rate both teams equally regarding the spread, not giving the 49ers a three-point home field advantage, so I see value in betting on the Rams as the underdog. We are riding heavy with the public which is showing 76% in favor of the Rams to cover.
